Of these, scent sticks are the most well-known aromatherapy products that you can use. Please keep reading to learn about incense sticks and how to use them!

Scent Sticks: How to Use Them

Incense is relatively easy to use. Light the tip of the incense stick using a flame. Once it is lit, blow it out and place the stick in a fragrance stick holder to keep it away from surfaces. Remember the dos and don’ts of using incense to ensure you use it safely.

Which Incense to Use

There are so many different types of organic scent sticks that you can use. Some great scent sticks for anxiety include lavender, chamomile, and frankincense.

Light rose or patchouli incense creates a calming atmosphere. Lemon or peppermint is an excellent choice for boosting focus.

Fragrance Sticks: Precautions to Keep in Mind

Incenses must be burned to be used; therefore, they should always be handled carefully. Once you light an incense stick and blow it out, it starts to leave smoke behind; now, it may seem like the stick is no longer burning since no flame is visible, but it is still burning. Remember not to leave a burning incense stick unattended.

A lit incense stick should always be placed in an appropriate incense holder. This will help keep it off flammable surfaces. The stick should also always be placed on a higher surface, away from the reach of children or pets.

Lighting an incense stick will produce smoke, so open a window to ventilate the space.

Incense cones and sticks are an easy way to take advantage of the benefits of aromatherapy. With so many different types, there is undoubtedly an incense stick out there for everyone. Browse our collection of Remedium Incense!
